Untuk mendiagnosa jenis kerusakan televisi berbasis web bewarna perlu diketahui terlebih dahulu gejala-gejala yang ditimbulkan pada televisi tersebut. Meskipun hanya gejala awal, tekniksi dapat mengambil suatu kesimpulan berupa kerusakan yang terjadi. Tetapi perlu pemeriksaan lebih lanjut dengan memeriksa kerusakan apa yang terjadi. Dalam perancangan aplikasi untuk menentukan kerusakan pada televise berwarna dapat diklasifikasikan kedalam 6 kondisi utama yaitu:

1. Masalah pada Tegangan (Blok Power Supply)

2. Masalah pada IC Program/IC Utama/ Gambar

3. Masalah pada Tuner/ Antena/ Sinyal

4. Masalah pada Bagian Vertikal/ Horizontal

5. Masalah pada Suara

6. Masalah pada Input CRT/ Warna/ RGB
